Mystic 7 is definitely one of my favorite original bands. Hailing from Colorado Springs, this all original rock and roll band has played clubs from Pueblo to Denver giving people a taste of good rock & roll music with a style that's all their own. This is a band that plays not for money, glory, or fame, but because they love music and they have the talent and ability to give something to the music community in Colorado. Their musical influences ranging from Kiss & AC/DC to Motley Crew & Def Leppard have laid the groundwork for an energetic band that is a must see for Rock fans in the Pikes Peak Region.

Heyyyyyyy,
Another review from yours truly. I ran sound last night at Rascal's for 13 Parallel and Mystic 7. I've mxed for Mystic 7 before, and have always enjoyed seeing thier show, but I'd never seen 13 Parallel before. Both bands put on a KICKASS show! Good old thundering rock & roll. The kind of music that grabs ya by the throat, shakes ya around, and lets ya know you're still ALIVE. 13 Parallel opened up the night and wowed the crowd with their own unique fom (which from my perch behind the sound board I was groovin' to). Brian from Mystic 7 even acted like once he kinda wanted to mosh a bit. Sorry, Brian, I ain't about to go there with you my friend. If you've ever seen Brian from Mystic 7, you know what I mean. If not, I guess you'll just have to go see them perform and see for yourself. Folks were coming over to me and asking "Where'd these guys come from?" I told 'em "The 13 Parallel, of course." Great, great job, guys. Thanks for entertainig us.
Mystic 7 was up next. After a major brain fart on my part (just couldn't get those vocals right, sorry guys), Mystic 7 took the stage and rocked the house once again. Thanks to Scott from 13th Parallel's help, we finally got the mix right (WHEW!, I was about to pull my hair out), and Mystic 7 put on what I think was the best show by them I've ever seen. I really like these guys, both musically and personally, but dudes, this was the show to end all shows! The crowd was diggin' it, and Brian, Virus, and James were up there havin' a ball. When they played "Wild Wild Women" the crowd went NUTZ (the Rascal's crowd loves that song).
All in all, it was a good ol' fashioned rock & roll party where everyone had a great time, and we got treated to 2 GREAT performances by 2 GREAT bands!
HATS OFF to Mystic 7 and 13th Parallel for two wonderful performances. You get The Sound Guy's "Very, very happy" rating.

I have been waiting a long time to do this review…The band got me a CD a while ago but I wanted to do a live/CD review however I haven’t been able to get out to a show, also rumor has it that some or one of the members may be getting deployed, if so good luck man and come home soon!!
Mystic 7 was band of the month a while back and I would like to say that it was well deserved. So I know some of you have been waiting for this review for a while and here it is!!

Mystic 7 has put together a CD that embodies all things metal. Culled from the likes of Judaist priest, Ozzy, Iron Maiden and the like; M7 has recorded a CD that is a fitting tribute to the metal greats of old but with a modern sense of what is heavy.

Tracks like “Mr. Crazy Man” (a tribute to Ozzy) shows M7s roots and pays homage to the price of darkness. While the sexually charged “Lick her where she likes it”, shows that the guys in the band really take a woman’s needs into consideration…LOL.

Sex is a running theme for the band; many of the songs on this CD are allusions to our favorite past time. And why not??? Sex, Drugs and ROCK & ROLL!!! Right? Hell ya!

Well 2 out of 3 isn’t bad; this band is all about rock and roll…This CD has a Mid-range crunch that could crush your skull!! The guitars are very powerful, the drums sound like cannons going off in my speakers and the vocals were done with a very cool reverb ambient effect that makes them soar!!

Then here is the sex…songs like “Taboo” and “Wild Wild Women” have a dirty message a some nasty guitar riffs to back it up. I love the riffs in Taboo. kick ass!!

HOT SPOTS: The into to “Thunder in paradise” and the guitars crunch all over the CD.

BOTTOM LINE: Mystic 7 tips their musical hat to classic metal without being a through back. Heavy crunchy guitars, and dreamy vocals make this CD very cool to listen to. The band has a strong song writing presence and I thank God that these guys are out there making music!!
